About Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society


Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society is one of the premier Educational Society’s of Sanskardhani Jabalpur with the main & sole aim & purpose of serving the citizens of Jabalpur in the field of education.

Aims & Objects

To achieve the above, it shall establish, start, suitable educational / Technical institutions.With the above objects, the schools were started.

Though Jabalpur has quite good number of institutions, yet a need for having good institution to impart good & quality education at a cost which does not pinch a common/ middle class citizen. In the year 1973 the Sikh Community Associations got together and authorized Shri Guru Singh Sabha, Gurdwara, Marhatal to open schools both Hindi & English Medium. In July 1974, an humble and good beginning was made and One Hindi Medium & One English Medium school was opened in Marhatal Gurdwara Complex the school were named “Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa School” – a tribute to the great saint. Soldier Guru who sacrificed his father, mother & four sons for the sake of saving this Country.

In a matter of few years, the schools were so popular that by a public demand & pressure from all corners of Jabalpur, the Society had to open more schools in the City.

Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa H.Sec. School, Hindi Medium B.No.2

It was decided to establish Schools named as Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa School (English & Hindi Medium and Shri Guru Singh Sabha was asked to go ahead with the establishments of these schools. The first school was established in the year 1974 at Marhatal. Initially English Medium School K.G. Classes with 8 students on roll and Hindi Medium with 35 students on roll was started.

Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa H.Sec. School, English Medium, Marhatal & B.No.2

The strength of the schools in Marhatal rose to such extent that in a matter of two years more than Thousand students were on roll. After three to four years the strength of the students rose to such heights that the management had to shift English Medium Schools to Bunglow No.2, 4th Bridge so that Hindi Medium school at Marhatal was not put to inconvenience as regards accommodation. However in 1991, with the increase in strength and new building having constructed in Marhatal, Girls Wing was shifted to Marhatal.

Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa H.Sec. School, GCF Estate, Jabalpur

The Society did not rest with this successful running of these schools in Marhatal but it extended its objectives of providing quality education to other areas of the city. To begin with Primary School was started in 1979 in GCF Estate. The School was raised to higher secondary standard from the year 1991. This school has been making great strides and has brought out a number of meritorious students and as well as state and national level sports person.

Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa H.Sec. School, VFJ Estate, Jabalpur

This next school to be established by the Society under the name of Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa School was in VFJ, Jabalpur from July 1981. This school was also raised to Higher Secondary Level in the year 1994-95.

Guru Gobind Singh Public School, Polipathar, Gwaright Road, Jabalpur

Polipathar area which is about 5km. from Gorakhpur, had no good school imparting quality education. The Educational Society purchased a three story building having 14 rooms with attached baths from MP housing Board, Jabalpur.

New School upto VIII class both Hindi & English Medium was started from session 2001-02 with about 114 students (EM-44 & HM-70). The students strength in 2003-04 session had been EM-120, HM-270- Total 390, 2004-2005-EM-138, HM-374- Total 512. The School has achieved 100% results in board exams V in 2002-03. The School has started IX class from 2004-05.

Guru Gobind Singh Public School, Tighra-Piparia, Khamaria, Jabalpur

The Society in order to impart quality education in rural areas thought of opening a school, both English & Hindi Medium. One of Society member Late S. Atma Singh Ji (Retd. GE) donated 25000sqm.- Feet of land for opening school. A middle school was started from session 2001-2002 the school achieved 100% pass results in V board in both English & Hindi Medium.This school has started IX class from 2004-05.

Mata Gujri Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Civic Centre, Marhatal, Jabalpur

The Society did not rest here in successfully running higher secondary schools. Quite a good number of Girls students of Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa Schools (English Medium) were facing difficulties in getting admission in Colleges for pursuing further studies.

The society took up the task of establishing a women’s college which came into existence in 1994 with hardly 30 students. The college in now so popular that it is difficult for students to get admission. Presently the college has a strength of 4235 students. The college holds classes in Hindi & English separately and has teaching upto post graduation level. It has also starred courses:

Guru Ramdas Khalsa Institute of Science & Technology (B.Tech)

After successfully managing & running Higher Secondary Schools & Women’s college, the society pondered over the fast & rapid changes in the overall scenario of technological advances in the world in general & Indian in particular. The technical education is the back bone of a developing country. The state of Madhya Pradesh in rich in natural, forest & mineral wealth as compared to other states.

A number of students get dis appointed in not getting admission in Engineering Courses due to limitation in number of seats in the existing Engineering & Technical Institutions.

With the above consideration the Society thought of establishing an Engineering College in the year 1997. The college was established in 1997 for which 156 acres of land was purchased by the Society near Barela in Village Kukrikheda which is about 20KMS from Jabalpur City.

The College was named after Guru Ramdas Ji; the 4th Guru.

Guru Ramdas Khalsa Institute of Science & Technology (MCA)

The college was established in 1999 for which 156 acres of land was purchased by the Society near Barela in Village Kukrikheda which is about 20KMS from Jabalpur City.

Guru Ramdas Khalsa Institute of Science & Technology (Pharmacy)

The college was established in 2002 for which 156 acres of land was purchased by the Society near Barela in Village Kukrikheda which is about 20KMS from Jabalpur City.

Guru Gobind Singh Institute of Computer & Communication

The college was established in 2018 affiliated from Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal. Situated at B.No 2 near 4th Bridge Jabalpur

Guru Ramdas Khalsa Institute of Science & Technology (Arts, Commerce & Science)

The college was established in 2019 for which 156 acres of land was purchased by the Society near Barela in Village Kukrikheda which is about 20KMS from Jabalpur City. Affiliated from R.D.V.V. Jabalpur.
